Gradjanski preokret strongly condemns the lack of adequate reaction of the police last night in the centre of Zrenjanin, when unknown persons attacked citizens who were protesting peacefully. It is a phenomenon in Serbia, we should be worried about, that the police ignore the violence that is happening in front of its members.
Gradjanski preokret calls on the prosecutor’s office who has jurisdiction to investigate and bring to justice the perpetrators from Zrenjanin, and the Ombudsman to conduct a procedure of supervision over the police and determine its omissions.
