Before 2012, foreign investors came to Zrenjanin, for example Drexlmeyer, Fulgar, Pompea, Geze and others, built their plants and employed thousands of workers, and leased construction land at a price of five to seven euros per square meter. Later, according to the law which, in addition to the lease, also enabled the sale of land, Zrenjanin collected around 30 million dinars in 2014, and around 70 million dinars in 2015. During that period, more than 20 individuals and legal entities bought land in the “Southeast” Industrial Zone. The biggest buyer was Crown from Novi Sad, which paid 13.4 million dinars. The local store Gomeks set aside 12.5 million for expansion in that zone. Among the more significant investors was the Italian company Teknostruture, the company bought the land for 9.9 million dinars. When all that is considered, the donation of more than 96 hectares of construction land to the company Linglong does not sound economically justified and calls into question the equality of participants on the business market of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Zrenjanin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Company Drexlmeier currently has more than five thousand employees from Zrenjanin, and all investors in Zrenjanin’s industrial zones have over ten thousand workers, while Linglong announces the employment of only 1,500 workers by 2025, which means that it does not justify given privileges in that aspect either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
